The Computer Help Chat Room is completely free and has no advertisements of any kind. There is also no registration and no hidden costs. Everyday, hundreds of people connect to the chat room seeking help with computer problems or looking for technology related advice.
Volunteering can be an excellent experience where you can learn about technical support, hardware, software, Linux, maintenance, troubleshooting, and more. Volunteering can be ideal for students that are looking for hands on experience. Furthermore, your time volunteering in the Computer Help Chat Room can be used on a resume or job application. Eugene Computer Geeks has been known to give letters of recommendation to the regular volunteers in the chat room.
Volunteer technicians with ALL levels of experience are welcome. Even if you aren’t a computer guru or wizard, we are looking for greeters, and chat users that would be able to help refer people to other rooms. Even if your computer experience and skills are limited, the majority of our chat users are beginners, and ANY help is greatly appreciated. No matter what your skill level and experience with computers is, your time is useful to the chat. Please contact us for more information on how to become a greeter and refer users to other chat rooms on the server when volunteers aren’t available.

The Computer Help Chat Room has been gaining in popularity, and has users from around the world. We are in desperate need of more volunteers, as a lot of users aren’t getting the help they need at certain times throughout the day. We plan on having volunteers available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but need more help from others.

The chat room was created in April of 2012 by Eugene Computer Geeks, a computer services, web development, internet marketing, and IT services company in the Eugene / Springfield, Oregon area.
