Computer Help Chat has changed to new interface. (Free Tech Support Chat by Geeks)
I had to change our Computer Help Chat by Volunteer Computer Geeks to a new interface with a new look and feel. The old chat couldn’t handle the high amount of traffic and was having problems with over-loading (throttling) the server’s CPU. The new chat can handle thousands of users with no problems and is much more secure and less buggy.
You still access the chat by going to the same page. New features include optional registration, password protection, SPAM/Proxy protection, and no more of the timing out bug. It still has the same general features and is the same type of deal.
I also switched servers and protocols to IRC Freenode, so now you can join other rooms that are filled with hundreds of different technicians. Just type /join ##hardware or /join ##windows . Other good rooms are, #networking, #ubuntu, #math, #html, #linux, and #electronics.

The text input box is at the bottom of the chat box. To change your name in the chat type: /nick your_desired_username (No space before the “/nick”)
